About Dr. Courtney
Dr. Courtney has always had a love for animals, she grew up with dogs, cats and horses. In 2009 she graduated from New York Chiropractic College with her Doctorate in Chiropractic, and in 2014 completed her training at Options for Animals to become a certified animal chiropractor. Her first taste of animal chiropractic was at age 14 when she had her horse, High Wind, adjusted. She immediately saw the benefits of chiropractic treatments and saw such a change in the performance of her horse. She became fascinated with the profession and now she is able to help animals just like High Wind every day!
Animal Chiropractic in a Nutshell
Chiropractic focuses on the joints of the spine and nervous system. Chiropractors find joints that are not functioning properly, and put a small force through the joint segment (adjustment). This in turn affects the nerves around that area and helps speed up healing in the body and decreases inflammation.
Dr. Courtney has helped my aging little pinscher tremendously! Her genuine care for
his well-being and gentle touch has allowed him to stay off of pain medications and
enjoy his life to the fullest.
